Cordier Lines up Colts, Winchesters, and Pennsylvania Long Rifles for Spring Firearms and Militaria Auction

Cordier’s Spring Firearms and Militaria Auction on March 20 will offer a selection of Colts and Winchesters as well as more than a dozen Pennsylvania Long rifles.  Other items coming to the block will include collectibles from the Civil War through the World War II.  The sale will be held at Cordier’s auction house at 1500 Paxton Street, Harrisburg.

Books and Photography Excite Bidders at Cordier’s November Auction

Cordier’s November 29 Book and Photography Auction in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania featured more than 500 lots, the highlights of which were a book of watercolors of India ($6,500), a group of 18 Major League Secrets cards ($4,300), and a George Washington inaugural centennial medallion by Augustus Saint Gaudens (French, 1848-1907) ($2,500).

Cordier Auctions Fall Antique and Fine Art Auction was held November 14 and 15 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Highlights of the sale included a painting by David Burliuk (Russian-American 1882-1967) ($24,000), a portrait of Grigory Gagarin (1810-1893) ($14,000), a 8.24 ctw diamond pendant ($7,500), and a Chinese Qing Rock Crystal Covered Urn ($4,500).  Prices quoted are hammer prices.

John F. Kennedy’s Inaugural Top Hat Template to be Sold at Cordier Auctions November 29

Kennedy wore to his inauguration in its annual Book and Photography Auction on November 29.  The template, consigned by Isabel Ann Heath of Mechanicsburg, was created by her father, John Austin Garside.
